San Clemente

San Clemente is a city in Orange County, California. The population was 63,522 at the 2010 census. Located on the California Coast, midway between Los Angeles and San Diego at the southern tip of the county, it is known for its ocean, hill, and mountain views, a pleasant climate and its Spanish Colonial style architecture. San Clemente’s city slogan is “Spanish Village by the Sea”. The official city flower is the Bougainvillea; the official city tree, the Coral. There’s a broad variety of housing found in San Clemente including condos, beach cottages, mobile homes, duplexes, multiple units, tract homes, luxurious custom estates and several master-planned developments like Cypress Point, Marblehead, Forster Ranch, Rancho San Clemente, The Reserve, Talega and Seapointe Estates. There are many shops, restaurants and businesses located throughout the city plus an impressive Deluxe Outlet Mall on the Marblehead coastal cliffs now being constructed and opening in 2016. San Clemente has the only pier in South Orange County and Trestles and T-Street are famous for their excellent surfing breaks and contests. Golfers have their choice of four golf courses (one is private) and tennis players enjoy the Rancho San Clemente Tennis & Fitness Club. Many residents enjoy sweeping panoramic views of Catalina Island, Dana Point Harbor and the Saddleback Mountains from their homes.
